Описание

Rock opera PIETRO e LUCIA Рок опера балет The Requiem for 20th Century The original rock-symphony opera-ballet drama “Pietro e Lucia“ has been written on the basis of the novel “Pierre et Luce“ by famous French writer and humanist Romain Rolland, the 1916 literature Nobel Laureate. In Peter and Lucia the Rolland’s art of learning from his own heart and from the people (and not try to force his personality on his novel creatures but to let them free...) achieved one of his peaks. On a few pages of this thin book it comes alive in front of us the inner world of both heroes, as if locked and intentionally locked away from the evil surrounding world, but this outer world, however, is constantly present not as a background, but as a part of their inmost world, of their most intimate reactions. In the Rolland like realistic art both the emotions as well as the dreaming are affected by those days. In this case affected tragically. It is impossible to express the world of senseless war more inwardly and more essentially than by words, emotions and feelings raised in Rolland and his heroes. In the gentle and tragic story of unfulfilled love fatefully heralded by war, in the intimate scenes of emotions and dreams, there is also present the world of social conflicts and contrasting social mentalities, which would not favor the blossoming of pure love even without terrors of war. Also the dirty and insincere relationship of the grown-up world befell the child’s inner world of emotion and ideals especially already sorely tried one of Lucy. The tragic death suddenly solves what would be very hard to solve in the next life. The utopian escape from the world, from the others to the love, ends for Rolland as a tragic, pre-doomed illusion. Rolland longs for ideals of unspotted inner life he sung off in nuances of nascent gentle and frolicsome love, but he knows already that it will be necessary to fight for these ideals with the real life of dirty and injustice. The masterfully thin lyrical narration of unspotted love thus becomes also a history of those times and a history of Rolland’s noble effort to fight for pure interpersonal relationships. The rock-symphony opera-ballet form of “Peter and Lucy” with the Italian title “Pietro e Lucia” (with the subtitle “The Requiem for 20th Century) is not only an attempt on wider and multilayer artistic reflexion of senseless suffering of mankind in the last century of the second millennium, carried over in form of local wars and international terrorism also to the first century of the new millennium, but also the story of reconciliation, faith and hope that the third millennium will bring on wings of child’s innocence and purity a spiritual space to respect each other again and understand that the unspotted child’s hands in ourselves will reach one day the imaginary doorhandle of the temple of human heart opened for love and humble prayer of our return to the God of goodness in men… Authors
